Physical therapy and Rehabilitation
General Description
The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation was established in 2020 within the Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Health Sciences and received its first students in the academic fall semester of 2020-2021.
When the 240 ECTS course is successfully completed within the scope of the curriculum, a "Bachelor of Science" degree in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is obtained.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students are accepted with a central examination that is done by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). In addition, vertical transfer students are accepted in the numbers approved by the department board of directors and the numbers determined by the department board of directors and approved by YÖK.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to have a bachelor´s degree in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, it is required to successfully complete the compulsory and elective courses of 240 ECTS specified in the curriculum and the general weighted average must be at least 2.0 out of 4.00.

Profile of The Programme
Physiotherapists who have professional autonomy and have received education at international standards are trained to improve the health status and welfare of individuals and communities, to prevent diseases with treatment approaches and preventive health programs, and to increase the quality of life of individuals.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Our students, who graduated as physiotherapists, are trained in orthopedic rehabilitation, neurology and neurosurgery rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, cerebral paralysis and muscle diseases, pediatric rehabilitation, rehabilitation following hand injuries and surgeries, rheumatic diseases, gynecology, athlete health, rehabilitation after surgeries, intensive care, They can work in many areas aimed at protecting and gaining health such as health tourism and occupational rehabilitation, especially thermal applications. In addition, they can work at national or international universities in academic and scientific fields.

Access to Further Studies
Individuals who have successfully completed their undergraduate education and received the title of a physiotherapist can be accepted in postgraduate education programs according to ALES and foreign language exam results.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Applied in accordance with Article 32 of the "Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations" taken by the Bursa Uludağ University Senate.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the program, it is required to successfully complete the compulsory and elective courses of 240 ECTS specified in the curriculum, and the cumulative grade point average must be at least 2.0 out of 4.00.

Within the Faculty of Health Sciences, there are 2 application laboratories belonging to the department, 4 classrooms, 1 lecture hall and 2 high education classrooms in a closed area of 1444 m².
The staff of the department, which was established in 2020, consists of 2 professors, 1 doctor lecturer and 1 doctor lecturer in full-time.
Clinical practices are carried out in Bursa Uludağ University Health Application and Research Center clinics, other state hospitals and private clinics in Bursa.
