Office Management and Administrative Assistancy
General Description
Executive Assistant to carry out the profession of knowledgeable, experienced a department founded to train personnel.
Students of this programme obtain associate’s degree in the field of Office Management and Executive Assistantship when they acquire programme competencies after successfully completing 120 ACTS credits in higher Office Management and Executive Assistantship education.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students are selected through the examination held by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) in line with the related regulations of The Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain associate’s degree, students have to successfully complete the compulsory and elective courses of 120 ACTS, their GPA must be minimum 2.00 over 4.00 and successfully complete 30 workdays of compulsory internship training.

Profile of The Programme
Programme aims to train office managers who are equipped with sufficient information and skills to support managers in their office work, who can effectively use computers, who has advanced communication skills, who is skilful in using all kinds of office technologies, who has knowledge of protocol, who has skills of administrative decision-making, analytical and creative thinking.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The graduates of our programme with wide employment choices have the opportunity to work both in public and private sector. Many institutions recruiting staff with through public personnel selection examination (KPSS) employ the graduates of this department. Graduates who use computers, have office management and communication skills and equipped with knowledge of business correspondences also have the chance to work in private sector. The programme offers not only theoretical information, but activities on practical implementation are also offered.

Access to Further Studies
Graduating students who succeed at external transfer exam (DGS) can transfer their BA education in related fields of the programme.
They can transfer vertically their education in 4 year departments of
Public relations,
Business information management,
Advertising and public relations,
Management of health institutions,
Management information systems.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Every student has to register at the start of the semester and attend 70% of theoretical courses and 80% of applied courses in order to be able to take final exams. Students have to take minimum 1 mid-term and 1 end term exam per course. Mid-term exam % 40 and end term exams are 60% effective in pass grade. The effect of mid-term exam can be changed (not exceeding the rate of 50%) by the course lecturer by assigning homework, Project works or quizzes, etc. Students who get one of the AA, BA, BB, CB or CC letter scores are considered as successful for the course. In order to be considered as successful, the student who gets DC or DD score must have a GPA of at least 2.0.

Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the programme, a student has to pass all the courses in the programme, have minimum 2.00 GPA over 4.00 and complete compulsory internship

The programme has a three a lecturer. Apart from that, lecturers of the vocational school are utilized for the courses in each semester of the programme. In our school, there are 35 permanent teaching staff.
Education is provided by making use of the conference hall, library, computer lab with internet connection, and classes with technological equipment (projector, smart board, internet access).
Each semester seminars are held in various subjects by sector representatives where they share their knowledge and experiences. Besides, by organising technical visits to their institutions, information sharing between sector workers and students is provided.
