Brief History
The Department of Business Administration carries out master´s programs with and without thesis and doctoral programs within the Institute of Social Sciences, which was established in 1982. This program is carried out by the Field of Management - Organization under the Department of Business Administration.

Qualification Awarded
This program requires 120 ECTS for a master degree in higher education. When the program is completed successfully and the program qualifications are met, a master degree in the field of management and organization is achieved.

Specific Admission Requirements
1. To have a bachelor´s degree (Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education in foreign countries must have a YÖK equivalence certificate). 2. Candidates should have the required score from the postgraduate education entrance exam (PEEE) valid for 3 years and the equiponderant score should be 55 the minimum. The PEEE score document and internationally accepted documents (GRE, GMAT etc.) are required for foreign students without any score clause. Foreign students (apart from those who have studied in Turkey) are required to have the TÖMER documents proving that they have sufficient proficiency of Turkish language. 3. The foreign language score must be at least 50 (YDS, YÖKDİL, BUÜDS and other foreign exams accepted by OSYM are valid). - PEEE 50% + UNDERGRADUATE SUCCESS AVARAGE 20% + WRITTEN/INTERVIEW 30% = Candidates are ranked according to the weighted total score that they have earned from the general assessment and students are admitted according to the quota starting with the candidate with the highest score (Minimum score of 65 must be obtained for a passing grade). For Foreign Students UNDERGRADUATE SUCCESS AVARAGE 50% + WRITTEN/INTERVIEW 50% =Candidates are ranked according to the weighted total score that they have earned from the general assessment and students are admitted according to the quota starting with the candidate with the highest score.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Student’s must take at least 27 credit courses and be successful by taking 70 points out of 100 in these courses. In addition students must be successful at the thesis exam in order to take the master diploma in management and organization.

Profile of The Programme
The main purpose of the program is to learn the information needed in the field of business, to meet the demands of corporate stakeholders, to ensure the development of managerial knowledge and skills especially of the employees working in management staff, to contribute to the development of the scientific literature by bringing together academicians and practitioners.
Master program with thesis continue throughout 2 years that include 1 year course stage and 1 year thesis stage. Each student is assigned an advisor and with the help of their advisors they make their course preferences.

Access to Further Studies
Graduates, who are successfully completed masters degree and be successful at ALES and foreign language exam, can apply to doctorate programmes.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In order for each student to register for the classes at the beginning of the term and to enter the final exam, they must attend at least 70% of the courses. Students are subjected to at least one final exam for each course. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. It is required to get at least 70 points in the final exam. Students who receive one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB from a course are considered successful in that course.

Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS) and successfully complete the thesis.

Facilities
Education Language is Turkish in the depatment. In Management - Organization Department, at present there are 6 Professors, 1 Asistant Professor and 2 Research Asistants on duty. A library, reading room and a computer lab are available for students’ use. Students have options to study at contractual universities within the Erasmus and Farabi programs.
