Office Management and Administrative Assistancy
General Description
Education in the programme started in 2006-2007 academic year.
Students of this programme obtain undegraduate degree in the field of Office management and Executive Assistant when they complete 120 ACTS credits in higher education and receive necessary competencies .

Specific Admission Requirements
Candidates should have higher education and equal degree and perform conditions determined by the Student Selection and Placement Center according to the Council of Higher Education legislation.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain undergraduate degree, Students have to take120 ACTS, complete compulsory and optional courses, their GPA needs to be minimum 2.00 over 4.00 and successfully complete 30 workdays of compulsory internship training.

Profile of The Programme
Programme aims to train Office managers who are equipped with enough information and skills in Office activities to help executives in public and private sector, are experts in using computers, have protocol knowledge, can use all kinds of Office technology, possess skills of administrative decision-making, analysis and creativity as well as good communicative skills.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Our alumni who graduate from the department which has wide field of employment have the opportunity to find placement both in public and private sector. Many institutions hiring personnel with public personel selection examination (KPSS) employ the graduates of this department. Graduates who can use computers, have office management and communicative skills and equipped with knowledge of business writings can also work in private sector.In the programme, not only theoretical information, but also practical applications are given place.

Access to Further Studies
Graduating students who succeed at external transfer exam (DGS) can continue their BA education in related fields of the programme.
They can transfer to 4 year departments of
Public relations,
Business information management,
Advertising and public relations,
Management of halth institutions,
Management information systems.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Every student has to register at the start of the semester and attend 70% of theoretical courses and 80% of applied courses in order to be able to take final exams. Students have to take minimum 1 mid-year and 1 end of year exam per course. Mid-year exam %40 and end of year exam are 60% effective in pass grade. The effect of mid-year exam can be changed (not exceeding the rate of 50%) by the course lecturer by giving homework, Project work or quiz, etc.

Graduation Requirements
In order to successfuly complete the programme, a student has to pass all the courses in the programme, have minimum 2.00 gpa over 4.00 and complete compulsory internship

In our school, there are 11 permanent teaching staff. In the programme, there is 3 permanent lecturer. Apart from that, lecturers at the vocational school or from other schools are given courses for every semester in the programme.
Education is provided making use of the conference hall, library, computer lab with internet connection, and classes with technological equipment (projector, smart board, internet access).
