General Description

Brief History
Since its establishment, the program has been continuously updated and developed in terms of academic staff, infrastructure, and curriculum to meet the needs of the local and regional construction sector. Initially offering education with a limited number of students, the program has adapted over time to modern construction technologies and expanded its curriculum by following innovations in the sector. With innovative course content, a practice-oriented educational approach, and a strong internship network, the program has produced graduates who are highly sought after in the industry.
Today, the Construction Technology Program holds a significant place both academically and within the construction sector. The program provides students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical experience regarding current practices in the construction industry. Supported by the continuously developing infrastructure of İnegöl Vocational School and an experienced academic staff, the program offers students a high-quality education.
The Construction Technology Program admitted its first students in the 1996–1997 academic year. It continues its educational activities with 3 academic staff members and an annual average student quota of 40.

Qualification Awarded
This program in higher education in the field of Construction Technologies, 121 ECTS credits depends on the first stage degree system. If the student completes the program successfully and the program to ensure competence, the student will have a bachelor´s degree in Construction Technology.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students from high schools across the country who have received education in Mathematics and Turkish are admitted to the program. Student admission is carried out through the central examination administered by ÖSYM, based on the TYT (Basic Proficiency Test) score type.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
For obtain to Associate Degree in the Construction Department/ Construction Technology Programme; students must take courses complete successfully all (total 121 ECTS), 30 business days to complete the operation of Industry-Based Instruction and cumulative grade point average must be at least 2 out of 4.

Profile of The Programme
The Construction Technology Department of İnegöl Vocational School aims to train qualified technical personnel to meet the needs of the construction sector. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical training, the department seeks to enhance students’ professional skills and to prepare them as competent individuals who can make a difference in the industry. The department prioritizes educating individuals who follow modern construction technologies, produce innovative and environmentally friendly solutions, and work in accordance with engineering ethics.
In addition, a continuous improvement-oriented educational approach is adopted to ensure that graduates are equipped with the knowledge and qualifications necessary to compete both locally and internationally. Within this framework, the curriculum is supported by course contents designed to improve students’ analytical thinking skills, as well as laboratory work and field applications. Through sectoral collaborations and internship opportunities, the department also contributes to the acquisition of professional experience by its students.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of the Construction Technology Department at İnegöl Vocational School have a wide range of employment opportunities. Here are the main fields and positions where students can work after graduation: Municipalities: As technical staff in road, infrastructure, and water-sewerage projects. In public institutions such as the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), the General Directorate of Highways, and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change: As technical personnel or field application staff. Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre: They may work in land surveying and mapping projects. In the projects of the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ): As field supervisors. In construction companies: As site technicians, project assistants, or material control technicians. In architectural and engineering offices: In project drawing, structural analyses, and technical drafting. In infrastructure and superstructure companies: They may work in large-scale projects such as bridges, roads, and dams. In building inspection firms: As site control technicians in construction supervision processes. In prefabricated and building materials companies: In production processes and quality control units. Graduates may establish their own businesses, offering subcontracting, construction consultancy, or project design services. They may also independently carry out building design, cost estimation, and quantity surveying. In concrete and building materials production plants: In material development, production control, or quality control processes. In insulation material companies: In the development and application of thermal, water, and sound insulation products. Since construction is a universally relevant sector, graduates may also find employment abroad. They can work as technical staff or field supervisors in international construction projects. Note: Employment opportunities may vary depending on the graduate’s knowledge, skills, and career goals. Therefore, making use of internship and industry collaboration opportunities is important.

Access to Further Studies
Graduates of the Construction Technology Program at İnegöl Vocational School have the opportunity to continue their undergraduate studies through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS). Depending on their exam performance, our graduates may transfer to the following undergraduate programs: Civil Engineering Architecture Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
At the beginning of each semester, every student is required to register for courses. In order to be eligible to take the final examination, students must attend at least 70% of the lectures and 80% of the practical sessions. For each course, students are subject to at least one midterm exam and an end-of-semester final exam. The contribution of the midterm exam to the final grade is 40% (assignments, laboratory exams, quizzes, and similar assessment tools may also be considered as midterm components), while the final exam contributes 60%. All examinations are graded on a scale of 100. Students must obtain a minimum score of 50 on the final exam. Students who receive letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB, or CC are considered successful in the course. DC and DD are conditional pass grades. In order to be considered successful in a course with a DC or DD grade, the student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0.

Facilities
Construction Technology Programme educated only from Bursa Uludag University Inegol Vocational High School Construction Department and provide formal education. This programme has 3 instructor. Construction Technology Programme has computer-aided drawing and design, building material samples analyzed, provided the use of construction materials in buildings, organized technical visits to construction sites.
