- In order for a student to be evaluated in the Doctorate program;
As the evaluation range, ALES score is 50%, Undergraduate / Master´s grade average 20%, Interview grade 30%. For foreign candidates, the undergraduate / graduate grade point average is 50%, and the Interview grade has a weight of 50%. Candidates with a general grade of less than 70 points are considered unsuccessful.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain PhD degree in Microbiology, the students are required to take the Doctoral Qualifying Examination, after having successfully completed taught courses. The examination consists of written and oral parts. Students must register for thesis work and the Specialization Field course offered by his supervisor every semester following the semester, in which the supervisor is appointed. Periodic monitoring of research work by a thesis monitoring committee is required to be awarded the PhD. A student who has completed work on the thesis within the time period, must write a thesis, using the data collected, according to the specifications of the Institute of Health Sciences Writing Guide. The thesis must be defended in front of a thesis jury. A majority vote by the jury members determines the outcome of the thesis or examination. The vote can be for "acceptance", "rejection" or "correction". A student may be given, by a decision of the Administrative Committee of the Graduate School, up to six months to complete the corrections. The student must then retake the thesis examination.

Profile of The Programme
Microbiology PhD Program aims to have students better equipped about basic, molecular and clinical microbiology and applications of these. This program includes 7 compulsory and 6 elective courses which consist of advanced microbiology topics and students can choose courses from other programs. The major goal of this program is to train scientists in investigative and academic medicine, preparing them to contribute to microbiological research with a full awareness of the potential impact of microbiology.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The exams of the courses can be done written, written-oral or applied. Exam documents and results are forwarded to the relevant institute within five working days via the department head.
a) In order to take the tests of the postgraduate programs, the attendance of the courses is required to be at least 70% or 80%. The exams are evaluated by over 100points awarded. In order to be successful, it is necessary to get at least 75 points out of 100 in the doctorate program.
Letter grade and coefficient equivalents of the scores out of 100 are as follows: Letter Grade Coefficient Score AA 4.00 90-100 BA 3.50 85-89 BB 3.00 80-84 CB 2.50 75-79 FF 0-74
b)In the evaluation of the scores obtained out of 100 within the framework of the above principles with letter grades; A student who gets AA, BA, BB and CB grades in the doctoral program is considered successful in that course.
c) In addition, the following letters can also be used, except for the above letter grades: 1) Note D (Absent); It is given to students who do not fulfill the conditions and requirements of course attendance and / or course practices. The grade average of D is transferred to the calculation of the FF grade. 2) Grade G (Pass); It is given to students who successfully complete non-credit courses and thesis studies. 3) Grade K (Remaining); It is given to students who fail in their thesis with non-credit courses.
ç) Students who fail the exams of compulsory and elective courses, fail in absenteeism or fulfill the prerequisites of the relevant course take the relevant course / courses in the first semester they are opened. In case of failure in the elective course, the student can choose a new course instead.
d) The exam results, exam documents and protocol of the courses in the graduate programs are sent to the relevant institute by the heads of the department within five working days following the completion of the exams.
e) The adjustment of the grades of the courses taken by students who benefit from national or international exchange programs such as Erasmus and Farabi is made with the decision of the institute board of directors with the proposal of the head of the department. These grades are recorded on the transcript of the student. Course success average (1) The success of the student is determined by the semester academic grade average (YANO) and general academic grade average (GANO) calculated on the coefficients given in the table in article 21 of this Regulation at the end of each semester. YANO is the weighted grade point average of the semester the student is enrolled. GANO is the weighted grade average calculated at the end of the semester by considering all the courses in the curriculum of the department in which the student is enrolled, starting from the beginning of the graduate program. (2) Calculated with YANO and GANO weighted grade averages. The weighted grade point average is calculated by dividing the total credits obtained by multiplying the credits of the courses taken with the weight coefficients equivalent of the letter grades taken from the courses, by the total credits. The weighted grade average is calculated as two digits after the comma. (3) Both YANO and GANO are determined by taking the grades (AA) to (FF) that the student takes from credit courses into the assessment. (4) All grades received by the student are recorded in the grade book.
12
Graduation Requirements
Doctoral program;
a) In order for the students who are accepted to the doctorate program with a master´s degree with thesis to graduate, they must pass at least 240 ECTS in addition to their thesis work. This credit load must be at least eight courses and seminars during the course, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS for an academic year; The remaining load must be met by the proficiency exam, the PhD Specialization Field course, the Thesis Advisory course.
b) Graduation requirement for students in the integrated doctoral program consists of at least fourteen courses, seminars, a PhD Specialization course that can be taken each semester, a Thesis Advisory course, a qualifying exam and a thesis study, in total at least 300 ECTS credits.
c) In order for the student to graduate, it is also required to fulfill the publication or scientific activity requirement determined by the decision of the Senate. (BUU Graduate Education and Training Regulation Implementation Principles consist of the publication conditions specified in Annex 1).
