Management and Organization Doctorate Program
General Description
The Department of Business Administration carries out master´s programs with and without thesis and doctoral programs within the Institute of Social Sciences, which was established in 1982. This program is carried out by the Field of Management - Organization under the Department of Business Administration.
This program requires between 240 ECTS for a doctoral degree in higher education. When the program is completed successfully and the program qualifications are met, a Doctorate degree in the field of management and organization is achieved.

Specific Admission Requirements
1. Candidates´ Master´s Degree with Thesis,
Candidates who have completed their master´s program with thesis in foreign countries must have a YÖK equivalence certificate.
2. Candidates should have the required score from the postgraduate education entrance exam (PEEE) valid for 3 years and the equiponderant score should be 55 the minimum. The PEEE score document and internationally accepted documents (GRE, GMAT etc.) are required for foreign students without any score clause. Foreign students (apart from those who have studied in Turkey) are required to have the TÖMER documents proving that they have sufficient proficiency of Turkish language.
3. The foreign language score must be at least 55 (YDS, YÖKDİL and other foreign exams accepted by OSYM are valid). - PEEE 50% + UNDERGRADUATE SUCCESS AVARAGE 20% + WRITTEN/INTERVIEW 30% = Candidates are ranked according to the weighted total score that they have earned from the general assessment and students are admitted according to the quota starting with the candidate with the highest score (Minimum score of 70 must be obtained for a passing grade). For Foreign Students UNDERGRADUATE SUCCESS AVARAGE 50% + WRITTEN/INTERVIEW 50% =Candidates are ranked according to the weighted total score that they have earned from the general assessment and students are admitted according to the quota starting with the candidate with the highest score.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
1. Students who take at least 240 ECTS from the courses in the doctoral course plan and successfully complete all of them by taking at least 75 out of 100, 2. Students who pass the Phd qualifying exam, 3. Students who successfully defend their thesis in front of a selected jury, 4. Students who make at least 1 scientific study in their field of study are awarded a doctoral degree in Management and Organization.

Profile of The Programme
The main purpose of the program is to learn the information needed in the field of business, to meet the demands of corporate stakeholders, to ensure the development of managerial knowledge and skills especially of the employees working in management staff, to contribute to the development of the scientific literature by bringing together academicians and practitioners.
The doctorate program is a total of 4 years, including 1 year course stage and 3 years thesis stage. In order to start the thesis phase, it is necessary to pass the PhD qualification exam. An advisor is assigned to each student and students make their course choices with the help of advisor faculty members.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their doctorate education can participate in post-doctoral research and projects in Turkey or abroad.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In order for each student to register for the classes at the beginning of the term and to enter the final exam, they must attend at least 70% of the courses. Students are subjected to at least one final exam for each course. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. It is required to get at least 75 points for the PhD in the final exam. Students who receive one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB from a course are considered successful in that course.

Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS), to pass the Phd qualifying exam, to complete successfully the thesis and to make at least 1 scientific study in business.

Education Language is Turkish in the depatment. In Management - Organization Department, at present there are 6 Professors, 1 Asistant Professor and 2 Research Asistants on duty. A library, reading room and a computer lab are available for students’ use. Students have options to study at contractual universities within the Erasmus and Farabi programs.
