Profile of The Programme
Aims of doctoral program are interpreting and analyzing complex problems in a simple way to gain, using an observation method in the field of health care information to uncover the mysterious, acquire methodological skills, figure out the pattern of the area of health data, dependence of the probability and chance to understand, to comprehend interpretive skills and develop statistical thinking, Develop communication skills in order to provide Statistical terminology.

1. According to past qualification, developing current and advanced information as expert level, in theoretical and / or application way.
2. Analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating studies using statistical softwares from different areas releated with biostatistics
3. Using new informations on problems
4. Critical analysis of new and complex ideas, to make synthesis and evaluation.
5. Use our high-level skills in research methods in studies to be won.
6. Contribute to progress in the field of performing original study independently as considering ethic rules.
7. At least one scientific article in the national and / or international peer-reviewed journals, publishing and / or producing an original work of art or to extend the frontiers of knowledge in the field of interpreting.
8. Ability to resolve problems in environments that require an interdisciplinary leadership.

Facilities
The number of academic teaching staff is 2 in Uludag Üniversitesi faculty of Medicine Department of Biostatistics. There are two separate analysis laboratories for researhers and students. There are one Workstation, 8 computer, 3 printer, one scanner and few licensed statistical software. 32 computer exist in student laboratory.
