Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Before the start of each semester, students must register for their courses and in order to admit to the final examinations they must be continued for at least 70% of courses and 80% of practical applications. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam. For each course the instructor advises students at the beginning of each semester with regard to the requirements for midterm examinations, papers and other assignments, conditions for admission to final examinations, and the weighting of midterm examinations, assignments and other studies in the calculation of the final course grade. The course instructor assigns a grade of between 0 and 100 for each course taken by a student and this grade is known as the raw score. Students must take at least 30 on 100 for each course. A student who has received any of the AA, BA, BB, CB, CC letter grade is considered as successful in that course. DD and DC are probation passing grades. Students must have a GPA of over 2 to be successful from any course received DD or DC letter grade.

Facilities
Program is being conducted by 7 academic staff. As well as compulsory courses which applied for development of basic and vocational skills there are also elective courses according to the students’ interests and abilities. The curriculum is designed to cover courses in fiber, yarn, weaving and knitting, dyeing-printing and confection. Theoretical courses are supported by the practical applications, so students gain practical experience. In the current program’s laboratory, as well as practical applications of weaving, knitting, dyeing-printing and garment, physical and chemical tests on the fiber, yarn and fabrics can be done. Additionally, students are able to use BUTGEM (Bursa Textile Development Centre) laboratories and education facilities according to signed protocol between program and BUTGEM.
