General Description
Graphic Design programme of Design Department in Vocational School of Technical Sciences was established in 2002 to train up technicians for the field of graphic design.
It is the two-year degree programme aiming to supply the academic and professional qualifications of the 5 th level education.

120 Ects credits of the 4 semestres should be completed for graduation.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
They are regulated by “Measurment, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM)” according to the principles determined by the Higher Education Council (YÖK).

Profile of The Programme
Graphic design programme is based on design knowledge and applications with both theoretical and practical education, including the skills of narrative abilities, presentation skills, strategic thinking, problem solving and the ability to develop innovative conceptual solutions besides knowledge of software/hardware techniques with creative/conceptual/critical thinking and innovative approaches to various design problems

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The graduates work at the fields of communication media, photography, advertising and publishing with graphic, printing, web and multimedia applications.having effective communicational skills, professional manner and relationships. They can work as an effective team worker or a freelancer.

Access to Further Studies
The graduated students ,if succeed the examinations can take further education in the related faculties , and also can complete education in the open university programmes.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The students should attend the 70% of the lectures, and 80% of the lab applications to have the final exams. They should take at least one term exam and a final examination with the weighted averages of %50 and %50. Final exam result should be minumum 30 points, and final mean shoul be at least 40 points to be successful. The lectures with the grade of FF and FD should be repeated in the next term.

Graduation Requirements
Students who were enrolled in and have passed all courses offered in the curriculum of the Graphic Design programme, who have successfully completed 30 days- applied business training, who have received 120 ECTS credits and 2.00 grade point average required, shall be deemed successful for graduation.
