Additive Manufacturing Doctorate Program (Interdisciplinary)
General Description
nterdisciplinary Additive Manufacturing doctoral Program was opened in the Fall Semester of 2022-2023 and started education. The program has been created with an interdisciplinary content. It is the first doctoral graduate program in this field in Turkey. In addition to the core courses in Additive Manufacturing, it also includes courses in Optical and Photonics, Biomaterials, Automotive Engineering, Polymer Materials and Surface Treatment and Technologies doctoral programs.
When the Additive Manufacturing doctoral program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are met, Doctor of Philisophy degree in Additive Manufacturing is obtained.

Specific Admission Requirements
In order to apply for the doctoral, candidates must have ALES or an equivalent score determined by the Senate, not less than 55 (fifty-five) points from the ALES or equivalent exam. Foreign language scores are not required for doctoral applications, but candidates with equal scores will be preferred with a higher English score. The program is an interdisciplinary program. Students can be accepted from Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Materials Engineering Master of Science programs.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The program provided a total of not less than 7 selective courses (42 ECTS), a compulsory course (2 ECTS), Phd proficiency examination (10 ECTS), one seminar (4 ECTS) , thesis and dissertation defence. Consists of compulsory and elective courses in graduate courses. 240 ECTS total number of credits of the program. In order to be successful in the course concerned student has to score at least 75 out of 100, which are mandatory. Students who have the relevant conditions are awarded to Doctoral in Additive Manufacturing.

Profile of The Programme
Additive Manufacturing doctoral programme is an interdisciplinary program. There are 6 faculty members working in different departments in its academic staff. Apart from the academic staff of the Additive Manufacturing doctoral programme, other faculty members give lectures and receive student counseling.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who will graduate from the Additive Manufacturing doctoral program will have the opportunity to work in companies operating in the Machinery, Automotive, Aerospace, Defense and Medical sectors.

Access to Further Studies
Graduates who have successfully completed their doctorate may apply to the same or related disciplines in order to become academic staff in the country or abroad or to take a specialist position in state-affiliated R&D centers.

Bursa Uludag University Postgraduate Education Regulation is applied.

Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully pass all compulsory and elective courses on the program (equivalent to a total of 180-240 ECTS) mention about "Qualification Requirements and Regulations". And who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum will be given The Doctorate Degree in Additive Manufacturing Program.

Courses are held in 18 classrooms that are shared with the Mechanical Engineering Department. These classes have the necessary features for a contemporary engineering education.
