DOCTORAL PROGRAM IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING
General Description
The department has offered graduate programs leading to Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering within the Institute of Natural Sciences established in 1982.
Computer engineering program is subjected to 180-240 ECTS credits and eighth stage degree system in higher education. The Doctorate (Ph. D.) Degree in Computer Engineering Program is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.

Specific Admission Requirements
Master school certificate is required. Application to the PhD program with master certificate depends on conformity condition of PhD. Candidates must have science based ALES and foreign language score determined by Uludag University Senate. For foreign candidates, Tomer candidates Turkish competency given by TOMER and ALES exam results or GRE, GMAT and other exams which are by YOK in international level.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The program provides a total of not less than 24-30 local credits, a qualifying examination, thesis proposal, thesis and dissertation defense consists of the presentation and consists of compulsory, elective courses and 180-240 ECTS total number of credits. In order to be successful at least 75 out of 100 should be achieved for mandatory courses. Students who fulfill all requirements of the programme are awarded to Doctoral in Computer Engineering.

Profile of The Programme
Educational Goals;
1-) To train engineers with PHD having advanced knowledge and skills that will enable them to become academicians and researchers, and to contribute to scientific knowledge by developing new scientific methods and original ideas.
2-) To develop PHD degree candidates´ skills of
solving the problems by using scientific methods within the framework of ethical principles, making multi-disciplinary studies,
presenting information and experiences both in orally and written,
and, life-long learning and teaching.
Curriculum;
Advanced Topics in Engineering Mathematics-II and Research Techniques and
Publication Ethics are compulsory courses, the other courses including the actual research subjects are elective. Detailed information can be found on bm.uludag.edu.tr.

Access to Further Studies
Graduates who successfully completed doctorate degree may apply to both in the same or related disciplines in higher education institutions at home or abroad to get a position in academic staff or to governmental R&D centers to get expert position.

Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully pass all compulsory and elective courses on the program (equivalent to a total of 18-240 ECTS) mention about "Qualification Requirements and Regulations". And who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum will be given The Doctorate Degree in Computer Engineering Program.
