Brief History
Bursa Uludag University School of Health started its undergraduate education in "Nursing Program" in 1996, and "Health Officer Program" in 1998. After the decision taken by the General Council of Higher Education, these two programs were combined under the name of "Nursing" in 2008. In 2016 the name of the school has been converted to Faculty of Health Sciences.

Qualification Awarded
This program is subject to the 240 ECTS credit first stage degree system in the field of Nursing in higher education. When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are met, students earn a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Specific Admission Requirements
Candidates must have a High School or equivalent school diploma and should obtain sufficient score from national university entrance exam done by Higher Education Council. A student who has started his/her education in an equivalent program have an opportunity to make a transition in accordance with the rules and legislation determined by Higher Education Council(YÖK). Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain a bachelor´s degree in nursing, students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (total of 240 ECTS) and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.

It is a member of the profession that protects, maintains, improves the health of individuals, families and communities in line with universal values, country realities and needs, provides nursing care whenever health of the idividual deteriorates, and adopts lifelong learning.

1. Providing basic knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to professional roles and functions.
2. Supporting nursing students by accessing scientific and up-to-date knowledge, and ensuring that this knowledge is in agreement with professional principles and standards.
3. Ensuring that nursing care is applied according to the nursing process with an evidence-based holistic approach.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Our graduates can be employed in public hospitals, family health centers, private health institutions, private businesses such as clinics, schools, factories, medical companies that require the employment of nurses, health vocational high schools and academic units.

Access to Further Studies
The provisions of the “Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfers” are applied.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Exams, assessment and evaluation are carried out according to Bursa Uludag University Associate and Undergraduate Degree Education and Training Regulations. (June 20th, 2020, Issue: 31250)

Graduation Requirements
Students who complete at least 240 ECTS in the undergraduate program, with a GPA of at least 2.00 over 4.00, and have taken all the required courses described in the program, fulfills his/her obligations are eligible to receive associate degree or undergraduate diploma of the program along with diploma supplement and grade status document (transcript).
