In 2011, the Automotive Engineering Department moved to the new modern building which includes offices, lecture rooms, laboratories and a modern conference room. In Automotive Engineering Department, education and research studies are carried out through four branches as Vehicle Design, Vehicle Dynamics and Control, Vehicle Propulsion and Power Systems, Vehicle Transport Systems. Most of the courses require the students to implement their projects and homeworks on modern high performance computing systems. Department has 6 Professor, 4 Associate Professors, 3 Assistant Professors, 7 Research Assistant. The department is proud to be a pioneer department for Turkey, as being one of the first of its kind in Turkey, it will lead many activities in automotive fields and it will successfully continue to attain the three goals of its mission; education, research and public service.
