General Description

Brief History
The department has offered graduate programs leading to M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering within the Institute of Natural Sciences established in 1982.

Qualification Awarded
Computer Engineering program is subjected to 90-120 ECTS credits in higher education.The Master´s Degree in Computer Engineering program is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.

Specific Admission Requirements
Science degree in Bachelor and ALES (numeric) score which is determined by the Senate of Uludag University are required. For foreign candidates, Tomer candidates Turkish competency given by TOMER and ALES exam results or GRE, GMAT and other exams which are by YOK in international level.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The graduate students throughout their graduate education has to take 21-24 credits (60 ECTS), at least seven courses, a seminar and a thesis work. In addition, it is required to fulfill the academic publication requirement. The students of Computer Engineering Program who meet the relevant requirements are awarded an MS degree. In order to be successful from any graduate course, the students must take at least 70 out of 100.

Profile of The Programme
Educational Goals;
1-) To train engineers with MS degree which have advanced knowledge and skills that will enable them to reach their career goals in a variety of national and international business, industry, research and development centers and various academic institutions.
2-) To develop MS degree candidates´ skills of
solving the problems by using scientific methods within the framework of ethical principles, making multi-disciplinary studies,
presenting information and experiences both in orally and written,
and, life-long learning.

1. Ability to use mathematics, science and engineering knowledge in advanced research
2. Ability to analyze, design and/or implement an original system that will solve engineering problems
3. Ability to use software, hardware and modern measurement equipments required for the research studies in the field of expertise

5. Ability to make literature review, follow and make technical presentation and write an article in academic level
6. Ability to find original ways and solutions by innovative and questioning thinking

The graduates holding Master´s Degree are eligible to apply to PhD Degree programs at national level and/or international level both in the same and in related disciplines

Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully pass all compulsory and elective courses on the program and who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum will be given The Master´s Degree Computer Engineering Program.
