Brief History
Optics and Photonics Engineering Department has been carrying out its master´s degree in Uludağ University Institute of Science since 2017.

Qualification Awarded
The Master´s Degree in optics and Photonics Engineering program is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.

Specific Admission Requirements
Science degree in Bachelor, ALES (numeric) and foreign language score which is determined by the Senate of Uludag University are required. For foreign candidates, Tomer candidates Turkish competency given by TOMER and ALES exam results or GRE, GMAT and other exams which are by YOK in international level.

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The graduate students throughout their graduate education has to take 21-24 credits (60 ECTS), seven courses, a seminar and a thesis work. The students of Electronics Engineering Program who meet the relevant requirements are awarded an MS degree. In order to be successfull from any graduate course, the students must take at least 70 out of 100.

Profile of The Programme
Educational Goals;
1-) To train engineers with MS degree which have advanced knowledge and skills that will enable them to reach their career goals in a variety of national and international business, industry, research and development centers and various academic institutions.
2-) To develop MS degree candidates´ skills of
solving the problems by using scientific methods within the framework of ethical principles, making multi-disciplinary studies,
presenting information and experiences both in orally and written,
and, life-long learning.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of the program can work as academicians, researchers and experts in national or international universities, research centers and corporations, such as; Uludağ Üniversitesi, Aselsan, Kalyon PV, Oyak-Renault, TOFAŞ, Türk Telekom, EMKO Elektronik, TUSAŞ, Durmazar, Ermaksan, Feka, Odelo etc.

Access to Further Studies
The graduates holding Master´s Degree are eligible to apply to PhD Degree programs at national level and/or international level both in the same and in related disciplines

Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully pass all compulsory and elective courses on the program and who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum will be given The Master´s Degree opticsand Photonics Engineering Program.
