19 Objective of the Course: To introduce the sources of concrete remnants of early Christianity period, to inform them about terminology, history, research history

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To recognize the history, art and architecture of early Christianity period;
2 To get information about the history and archaeology writing of early Christianity period and to be able to carry out ideas;
3 To be able to understand and evaluate the problems of terminology and scientific approach;
4 To be able to examine the roots and origins of early Christian art;
5 4.-7. yüzyıl arasına ait arkeolojik eserlerin dönem ve bölgelere göre farklılıklarını ve nedenlerini açıklayabilmek ;
6 To explain the changes and causes of early Christian art in the following centuries.;
7 To be able to evaluate the factors that make up early Christian art;

1 Early Christian history, periods of art and architecture, historical geography, the world of ideas and beliefs, general information about the course content.
2 Mediterranean archaeology between fourth and seventh centuries
3 Early Christian archeology terminology, communities and differenciations and their reasons
4 Factors in the formation of early Christian art
5 Cultural products of antiquity
6 The role of antiquity in the formation of early Christian art and architecture
7 The role of neighboring cultures in the formation of early Christianity art and architecture
8 Cultural life, daily life, reflections on art and architecture
9 Cultural life, daily life, reflections on art and architecture
10 Research history, different approaches, reasons, results
11 Assessment and dating issues
12 Early Christian cities, continuity and change
13 Conservation issues and resuşts
14 The changes starting from the 7th century, causes, results, research problems
