Objective of the Course:
The aim of course is to provide information to students about original and origaning from west developments in Turkish Theatre from Reform Period to Republic Period, so to strengthen theoretical equipment of the student about the history of Turkish Theater.

Knowing political, economic, cultural conditions of Ottoman Empire until the rescript of gülhane and innovations came with it.;

Knowing the meanings of the concepts such as modernism, modernization, modernity and the differences between traditional society and modern society.;

Having knowledge about westernization process from Ottoman to the present;
4
Knowing the understanding of features of Reform theatre, play writers, theater companies and acting.;
5
Having knowledge about Şinasi and Şair Evlenmesi plays;
6
Having knowledge about Namık Kemal and his play named Vatan yahut Silistre;
