19 Objective of the Course: To comprehend the characteristics of physical, psycho-motor, cognitive and language development of early childhood and adolescent period and also support the development of children in these areas.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To comprehend the basic concepts and principles of human development for the profession.;
2 Having knowledge and skills about physical development of children in aged 0-12.;
3 Using appropriate tools to measure children's physical development.;
4 Having knowledge and skills about psycho-motor development of children in aged 0-12.;
5 Using appropriate tools to measure children’s psycho-motor development.;
6 Having knowledge and skills about cognitive development of children in aged 0-12.;
7 Using appropriate tools to measure children's cognitive development.;
8 Having knowledge and skills about language development of children in aged 0-12.;
9 Using appropriate tools to measure children’s language development.;
10 To contribute to increase children’s education and life quality by information obtained from the development areas.;

1 Basic concepts of human development (growth, maturation, learning, development, readiness, the critical period)
2 Principles of Development, Factors Affecting in Development (Heredity and Environment)
3 Periods and tasks of development
4 Definition and importance of physical development, basic concepts of physical development.
5 Using the measurement tools and materials of physical development and to evaluating of physical development.
6 Definition and importance of psycho-motor development, basic concepts of psycho-motor development.
7 Using the measurement tools and materials of psycho-motor development and to evaluating of psycho-motor development.

9 Definition and importance of cognitive development, basic concepts of cognitive development.
10 Piaget’s cognitive development principles, cognitive development periods, cognitive development theory of Vygotsky and Bruner.
