19 Objective of the Course: Classifying and defining the words in a theme in accordance with the context based on the principles of dictionary preparation.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development In this course, students can teach vocabulary to foreigners in the field of teaching Turkish by scientific means.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knows the basic concepts of lexicology.;
2 Understands the principles of preparing a dictionary.;
3 Make exercises to describe the words.;
4 Classify words and collacations based on context.;
5 Defines words according to their context.;

1 Basic Concepts: Lexicology, lexicography, corpus, context, frequency
2 Dictionary types.
3 Dictionary principles
4 Semantics and word types
5 Word, concept, meaning, usage relation; collacations and usage
6 Context types and context hints; examples
7 Theme, subject, context relation; examples
8 Sample context: 1- Words and definitions used in the theme of transportation
9 Example context: 2- Words and definitions used in sports theme
10 Sample context: 3- Words and definitions used in the theme of health
11 Sample context: 4- Words and definitions used in technology theme
12 Prepare sample dictionary at A1 and A2 level
13 Prepare sample dictionary at B1 and B2 level
14 Prepare sample dictionary at C1 level
