19 Objective of the Course: It is to prepare the student for the thesis study by ensuring that the knowledge and skills needed to start the thesis work are applied on a micro thesis.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To be able to follow innovations and apply them in the field by using the competence of collecting information, researching and analyzing them.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to sample the selection of the research topic on a small study called a seminar assignment.;
2 To be able to determine the source in accordance with the content and depth of the research in terms of quality and quantity and to be able to sample on a small study;
3 To be able to sample the ability to collect, save and use research data duly in a small study;
4 Ability to exemplify the skill of interpreting research data and constructing an academic text on a small work;
5 To be able to exemplify the ability to cite in accordance with academic ethics and to create a bibliography on a small study;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 The legislation determining the rules to be followed in the scientific research process; Examination and presentation of the Higher Education Institutions Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive, the relevant articles of the Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation and the Thesis Preparation Guide
2 Demonstrating the determination of the research subject in relation to the scientific research methods and techniques literature on an example.
3 Demonstration of the selection of resources suitable for the content of the research in terms of quality and quantity and their arrangement in academic cooperation networks such as Zotero / Mendeley on an example.
4 Creating the research outline, introducing the titles to the Office program, showing the writing style and the use of templates on an example
5 Demonstrating the use of common footnote and bibliography systems such as ISNAD, APA, Chicago on an example
6 Demonstration of the creation of an introductory section, which includes subheadings regarding the subject, purpose, limits, resource assessment, method and plan of the research, on an example
7 Sampling of the ability to collect and record research data duly on a small study
8 Exemplifying the ability to use and interpret research data on a small study
9 A demonstration of academic text building skill on an example
10 A demonstration of academic writing skill on an example
11 Sampling of citation skill in accordance with academic ethics on a small study
12 Exemplifying the skill of creating a bibliography in accordance with the guide for thesis preparation on a small study.
13 Presentation of the seminar paper prepared during the semester
14 Discussion of the seminar paper
