19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is having the teacher trainees acquire recognizing the most important representatives and examples of folk poetry, determining the main features and linguistic features of folk poetry and their regional usage, and evaluating the folk poetry and folk stories for different levels of primary school with an educational sight.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To be able to learn the features of Turkish and the literary works created in this language in order to develop Turkish literature, Turkish culture and art.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 For improving Turkish culture and art, initially the Turkish language and Turkish literature, to learn the features of Turkish and literature works, that are created with this language, and to transmit these learned features to the practices that will be done.;
2 To know the Folk Poetry is the base for Turkish culture and study to save this base.;
3 To know the language and history of the periods, when the folk poetry was written.;
4 To determine the regional linguistic features in Folk poetry and know.;
5 To evaluate the folk poetry with an educational sight.;
6 To know the usage of literature works as material in education and training and doing exercises about these.;
7 To gather data in folk poetry, comment on them and have competence to protect the social, communal, scientific and ethical values.;
8 By commenting on works of folk literature to shed valuable insight into nowadays.;
9 With received competences, to be able to plan a lesson with folk literature, handle and evaluate the lesson;
10 By understanding teacher’s role in guidance and the ways to acknowledge the student, to know and apply them in different learning approaches along with the students’ developmental features.;
