19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to reveal the development of reading culture and the factors affecting this process based on research results.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It is thought that teachers and graduate students will make professional contributions to developing alternative applications by obtaining information about the practices to be carried out in the primary school age, which is one of the most critical periods in the acquisition of reading culture, and the results of these practices.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to know the factors that affect the development of reading culture;
2 To be able to develop appropriate ways to make the school factor affecting the reading culture effective;
3 Finding alternative ways to support the development of reading culture;
4 Being able to deal with the "library" factor, one of the factors that affect reading culture, in a versatile way.;
5 To be able to know the importance of early literacy period in terms of acquisition of reading culture;
6 Being able to know the critical importance of primary school period in terms of acquisition of reading culture and to create a literacy environment suitable;
7 To be able to know the importance of "the teacher to be a reader" in the acquisition of reading culture and to be able to take appropriate approaches accordingly.;
8 Knowing the importance of reading culture in terms of social development and well-being of society and making classroom practices in this direction;
