Brief History
In 2005 - 2006 Academic Year, the Higher Education Council of the Executive Board meeting dated 06.05.2003, amended by Law No. 2880 Law No. 2547 7/d-2, 7 / h, and 4 of Law No 3843, to be decided to opening “Child Development Program” (II. Education-METEB) in Inegol Vocational Hıgh School and ın 2003-2004 Academic Year 30 students were taken. Also the Higher Education Council of the Executive Board meeting dated 08.04.2010, amended by Law No. 2880 Law No. 2547 7/d-2, 7 / h, and 4 of Law No 3843, to be decided to opening “Child Development Program” (Formal Education) in Inegol Vocational Hıgh School and ın 2010-2011 Academic Year 30 students were taken.

Qualification Awarded
This department is subjected to fifth level degree system which is 120 ECTS credits in the field of Child Development in Higher Education. When the programme completed successfully and provided programme adequacies associate degree would be acquired in the field of Child Development.

Specific Admission Requirements
Being graduated from Child Development Departments of vocational high schools and in accordance with related legislation of YÖK(High Education Board) it is determined by ÖSYM(Student Selection and Placement Center).

Specific arrangements for the recognition of prior learning
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to acquire Two year Degree in the field of Child Development, students are supposed to complete all required must and elective courses(totally 120 AKTS equivalent) in the programme successfully and their C.G.P.A is supposed to be at least 2.0 out of 4.00

Profile of The Programme
The most significant aim of Child Development Programme is to provide education service oriented to acquire life skills with modern teaching methods and proper to information age and business life with its lifelong education provision. In this direction, our students are expected to being an individual who are utilizing their qualifications, researching, willing to contribute to development of their profession and their nation, following all the latest developments related to their fields and continuously reforming themselves, having unique opinions and analytic persons.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
National education and the Ministry of family and social policies, kindergartens, day-care centers, nursery and primary education although connected, children´s homes, private homes, educational institutions, health love the ministry of Government and private hospitals, all universities, faculty of medicine, hospitals, children´s clubs, resort and hotels.

Access to Further Studies
The graduated students who completed their Two-year degree successfully are able to reach undergraduate program of universities “Preschool Teaching and Child Development and Education Teaching” department with vertical transfer on the condition that if they have adequate score from Vertical Transfer Examination.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
At the beginning of semester each and every student has to be registered to lessons and in order to be able to enter examinations at the end of the semester they have to participate into lectures at least 70% and 80% to practices. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final examination for each lecture. %50 contributes to midterm (as midterm some of the scores from assessment instruments could be taken into consideration such as papers, lab examinations, quiz etc.)and final examination contributes to 50% to final grade. All of the examinations are evaluated out of 100. There is an obligation that in final examination at least 30 points has to be taken. Bir dersten AA, BA,BB, CB ve CC harf notlarından birini alan öğrenciler o dersi başarmış sayılırlar.The students who got AA, BA,BB,CB and CC grades counted as they succeded the lesson. DC and DD are conditional successful grades.The student who got DC or DD can only be counted as successful if his/her C.G.P.A is at least 2.0

Graduation Requirements
In order to complete the program successfully students have to pass all existing lessons in the programme(120 AKTS equivalent), reach at least 2.0 C.G.P.A out of 4.00 and complete thesis successfully.

Facilities
There are two academics in the department of Child Development in İnegöl Vocational School of Higher Education and Yenişehir İbrahim Vocational School of Higher Education.There are equipped classrooms for the related theoratical education and related lessons also drama and material preparation workshops for practices. Plus the fact that, we are trying to provide application of theoratical knowledge in kindergardens which are connected to the Ministery of National Education.
