Geography PhD Programme is that a postgraduate programme established within the Institute of Social Sciences affiliated to the Rectorate of Bursa Uludağ University.

Doctorate Degree in Geography

1) To have Master´s Degree in an acceptable fields, 2) To have at least 55 score in ALES-SÖZ, 3) To have sufficient foreign language skills

The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.

To have 60 ECTS credit courses in the Master´s Programme and successfully complete all of them,a weighted grade point average of 75 out of 100 and to successfully defend the thesis in front of a jury

This programme has a period of 4 years. The programme includes compulsory and elective courses and a PhD thesis.

It can work as teachers in public schools and private educational institutions. It can start their academic life as a Research Assistant.

Evaluation is made according to the Undergraduate Education Regulations.

It is necessary that successfully all courses in the program obtain a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00, and complete the PhD thesis
