1 Get perspective about the development process of tafsir history.;
2 Recognize the types of commentary.;
3 Recognize the tafsir schools with the characteristic features.;
4 Detect similarities and differences of tafsir schools in terms of method and content.;
5 Understand the positive and negative aspects of each tafsir school.;
6 Understand the process of emergence of tafsir schools.;
7 Understand the deep structures of each tafsir schools.;
8 Have an information about a tafsir work that belongs to each tafsir school.;
9 Analyze the approaches of tafsir schools within the framework of scientific criteria.;
10 Produce new information within the framework of scientific criteria.;

2 School of tafsir bi-l-riwaya (by transmission)
3 School of linguistic interpretation
4 Sunnite schools of interpretation (Salafiyya, Ash’ariyya, Maturidiyya)
5 Unorthodox schools of interpretation (Shia, Khawarij, Mu’tazila)
6 Heretical schools of interpretation (Ghaliyya, Batiniyya, Ibahiyya)
7 School of philosophical interpretation
8 School of tafsir bi-l-ishara (by indication, from signs)
9 Schools of legal interpretation (Hanafiyya, Shafi’iyya, Malikiyya, Ja’fariyya)
