Objective of the Course:
To let the studens grasp necessary critical and comperative approaches to use of literal and visual works in historical investigations with an hands down approach.

Learning Outcomes:
1
To be able to grasp ways of searching in historical sources the traces of time in which the sources produced.;

To be able to evaluate the relationship between history and literature in terms of interdisciplinary studies.;

To be able to explain the contribution of literary texts to historical investigations.;

To be able to make comparision between the results of historical investigations and the literary Works written within the same period.;

To be able to critically interpret historical information contained in the literal and visual sources.;

To be able to conceive the importance of relation between history and literature in explaining culture and mentality of societies.;

To be able to analyze works of literatüre and cinema which could be used in Turkish-Ottoman historiography.;
