19 | Objective of the Course: | The aim of this course is to introduce the history of Europe to the students from the breakup of the Roman Empire to the dawn of the Renaissance. Among the topics to be covered in the course will be: the end of the ancient world; the Rise of Christianity; the era of migrations; the Carolingian Empire, the Vikings, Feudalism, Papacy and the Crusades. |
