19 Objective of the Course: Determining the basic formal functions, tight-knit themes, small ternary and small binary forms through the analysis of the repertoire.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 to be able to identify the function and basic elements of form;
2 to be able to make written and audible analysis of the tight-knit themes of the Classical era;
3 to be able to make formal and stylistic comparisons between tight-knit themes of the Baroque and Romantic eras. ;
4 to be able to explain the basic principles of the simple ternary forms;
5 to be able to explain the basic principles of the simple binary forms;
6 to be able to make formal and stylistic comparisons between the simple ternary and binary forms. ;
