3 To know the changing marks and intervals used in Turkish Folk Music;
4 To know the basic structure of scale used in Turkish Folk Music;
5 To comprehend the tempos used in Turkish Folk Music;
6 To comprehend the functions and the place of Turkish Folk Music in music education given in schools;
7 To compare the features of Turkish Folk Music with Classical Turkish Music;
8 To assest present studies of Turkish folk Music;

1 Making comparisons by explaining definition, history and today’s situation of Turkish Folk Music
2 Datums making source to folk music with the cultures on the geographical areas where Turkish Folk Music has spreaded out
3 Subjects making source to folk songs, playing tradition and types
4 Basic, united and complex tempo styles used in Turkish Folk Music and their usage and regions
5 Definitions and singing types of unmetered folk songs and metered folk songs
6 Spreading to the country of unmetered and metered folk songs
7 Named according to regions of unmetered and metered folk songs
8 General evaluation
9 Forms used in unmetered and metered folk songs
10 Folk songs that have features of both unmetered and metered folk songs
11 Types of metered folk songs: zeibeks, bengi,teke zortlatması, semahlar,halay,güvende,bar, horon and karşılama
12 Types of unmetered folk songs: bozlak, maya, kerem ,hoyrat ,gurbet havası, müstezat and divan
13 Comparings mode and scale of Turkish Folk Music and Classical Turkish Music
