19 | Objective of the Course: | To provide a general outlook on the scholarly activities produced by mufassirs during fourteen centuries in understanding, explanation and interpretation of the Qur’an in accordance with the needs and problems of their times in a chronological and systematic way. To be closely acquainted with tafsir schools, their characteristics, main views, prominent figures and main products focusing on the triangle “writer-mentality-product” in the context of the difference in approach, understanding and interpretation of the Qur’an. To help the student gain a brief, strong and systematic culture of tafsir, and the ability to think and research in a scientific way. |
