19 Objective of the Course: To enrich the student’s view about him/her own self and to examine the responses to the question “what is human?” critically in a historical context with using the knowledge of philosophical antropology.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To illuminate the point why philosophical antropology is needed to be constituted as an independent discipline, despite the fact that various responses are given to the question “what is human?” from Antiquity.;
2 To illuminate the necessity of the question “what is human?” takes place on the foundation of all acts of knowing.;
3 To criticize and understand the different views about human beginning from Antiquity to 21st century.;
4 To examine the problems which occured as a result of considering human as a merely rational being and to discuss how these problems can be solved.;
5 To present the ontological, epistemological, moral, culturel and social assumptions which provide to form human conceptions in a historical context.;
6 To interpret and compare the views about philosophical antropology in 20th century and to fix their deficiencies.;

7 To describe the human conception of Scheler.
