19 Objective of the Course: Improve the students’ knowledge about the principle and concepts of Semantic. Find more effective solutions for problems depending the meaning in Teaching French as a foreign language.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Improve the fundamental concepts in Semantics;
2 Analyze and explain meaning methods and particularities in literacy and other texts types ;
3 Recognize the relationship between meaning and interpretation;
4 Recognize problems depending the meaning and interpretation in Teaching French as a foreign language.;
5 Analyze and evaluate the related studies.;
6 Effectuate research about semantics and related field.;
7 Apply the fundamental concepts of semantics to language teaching.;
8 Acquire field’s knowledge to increase his/her language use;

4 Semantic relations (hyponymie, synonymy, antonymie)
5 Observing and exploiting patterns in textual application

9 Semantic field definition and meaning changes
10 Semantic meaning and classification of meaning: Meaning contraction, Meaning extension, shift and generalization of the meaning
