19 Objective of the Course: To give knowledge about architecture and book arts among other Turkish Islamic Arts in the course of history, to explain the changes during the historical process.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 The ability to comprehend art and history of art, its relation to other relevant sciences;
2 The ability to realize the influence of the art in the time of the Prophet Muhammad on later art activities;
3 The ability to analyze under which art schools Umayyad and Abbasid art developed;
4 The ability to comprehend the difference between national arts which constitute sub-branches of Islamic art;
5 The ability to analyze main characteristics of Great Seljuk art in cause and effect relationship;
6 The ability to resolve Turkish Islamic art in Anatolia in terms of its synthesis with understanding of the archaic art;
7 The ability to analyze dynamics that are the foundation of Ottoman art;
8 The ability to explore the place of Quranic scripture in Islamic civilization through art;
9 The ability to put forth main characteristics of Islamic art through book arts;
10 The ability to explain causes of abstract content in Islamic art in comparison with western art;
