19 Objective of the Course: The objective of the course is to: motivate students to get knowledge and skills of how to teach religion to the primary and secondary school students, and discuss the fundamental teaching strategies, learning theories, teaching and learning methods and techniques.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students who successfully complete this course will be able to: acquire knowledge of theories and practice of education in general, subject teaching in particular;
2 explain legal foundations of religious education in the primary and secondary schools in Turkey;
3 discuss the teaching theory and practice of religion in Turkey comparing with contemporary religious educational theories, models, and practices.;
4 adapt certain religious educational methods to pre-school students.;
5 perform certain religious educational methods in accordance with the developmental stages of primary school students.;
6 communicate certain religious educational methods in adolescence.;
7 analyze main approaches to religious education curriculum development;
8 be aware of having been classified the textbooks of Religion and Ethics in accordance with the approach of learning areas;
9 relate learning outcomes with the religious developmental needs;
10 Select the correct methods and techniques, and equipments in accordance with developmental stages of primary and secondary school students in the assessment and evaluation process in the course of Religion and Ethics.;
