19 Objective of the Course: The aim is to create accompaniment in the piano and make harmonic analysis of the appropriate works by using the connections with substitute chords including the seventh and ninth chords.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Students taking the course will have knowledge of Western music theory and polyphony. They can make tonal melodies polyphonic and create simple accompaniment models.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Understanding the establishment of the dominant 7 chord and its inversions and making connections including the chord;
2 To be able to comprehend the structure and properties of the substitute chords in the major and minor scales;
3 Understanding the VI chord and its function and making connections belonging to the chord;
4 Understanding the II chord and its function and making connections belonging to the chord;
5 Understanding the root and inversions of the II7 chord and making connections belonging to the chords;
6 Understanding the root and inversions of VII7 chords and making connections belonging to the chords;
7 Understanding D9 chords and making connections belonging to chords;
8 Understanding II9 chords and making connections belonging to chords;
9 Understanding the III chord and its function and making connections belonging to the chord;
10 Being able to harmonize using march harmony;

Measurement and Evaluation Techniques Used in the Course It is requested that the given soprano or bass party is harmonized and the appropriate codes are written under the chords.
Information Measurement and evaluation technique: By asking the harmonized question, the student's level of making the melody into four parts using what he learned is evaluated. Evaluation: In line with the decisions of the academic board, it is evaluated on the basis of Bursa Uludağ University Associate-Undergraduate Regulations.
