19 Objective of the Course: To be able to recognize the Turkish alphabet with the alphabets, texts and language features used in this period.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To be able to recognize the Old Turkish Period, which is the first period of Turkish written in writing, and the alphabets, texts and language features used in this period.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students will be able to define the historical periods of Turkish Language and compare the basic features of these cycles and compare them with each other.;
2 Recognize the oldest text of Turkish language and define its properties;
3 To have knowledge about basic sources and works related to the first period of the Old Turkish Period / (Köktürkçe).;
4 Transcription and transliteration texts of original texts belonging to Köktürk Period.;
5 Köktürk letter transmits the text of Turkey Turkish.;
6 Students will have knowledge about phonetics, morphology, vocabulary and syntax features of the texts of Old Turkish Period.;
7 Acquires the ability to make connections between the old Turkish period and other periods of Turkish.;

1 Historical Circuits of Turkish and Old Turkish Period
2 History of writing in Turks; origin, formation and spelling system
3 Old Turkic Inscriptions in terms of written periods, languages and objects on which they are written.
4 Köktürk Alphabet and inscriptions written with the Köktürk alphabet and the basic features of these inscriptions
5 Applications of reading texts written with Köktürk Alphabet
6 Orkhon Inscriptions and their importance in terms of Turkish language, history and culture
7 Sound and morphology features of Orkhon inscriptions
8 Vocabulary and syntax features of Orkhon Inscriptions
9 Yenisei Inscriptions and Mountainous Altai Inscriptions; importance of these inscriptions in terms of Turkish language, history and culture
10 Sound, form, vocabulary and syntax features of the texts of Yenisei Inscriptions and mountainous Altai Inscriptions
11 Talas Inscriptions and their importance in terms of Turkish language, history and culture
12 Sound, form, vocabulary and syntax of the texts of Talas Inscriptions
13 Turkish Inscriptions in China and their importance in terms of Turkish language, history and culture
14 Old Turkish Inscriptions written on paper and the language, style and content characteristics of these inscriptions
