19 Objective of the Course: To be able to know the preschool child in every aspect, to give the activities necessary for their education, taking into account the psychological state and developmental characteristics of the child, and to inform about the application and interpretation of child recognition scales that teachers can use in the preschool period.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The student will be more knowledgeable and will have a more command of the subjects in the field of preschool education.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Recognizing the purpose and importance of getting to know children in pre-school education;
2 Knowing the methods used to identify children;
3 Know the important necessary properties of the children ;
4 Know the techniques that is necessary to identify children ;
5 Understand the importance of identifying children according to educational perspective ;
6 To give information about the application and interpretation of child recognition scales that can be used by teachers in pre-school period. For example; Good Enough, Child Identity Form, Drawing Family Test. ;

4 Basic principles for conceptualizing children
5 Some techniques which can be used for getting to know the children
6 Other observational techniques: 1) Narrative reports 2)Observation lists
7 Observational techniques
8 Interviewing
9 Survey methods and other sociometric techniques for children
10 Sociometric methods for children
11 Case study
12 Tests for young children like Drawing family test
13 Protecting and keeping safe the data deprived from individuals
