19 Objective of the Course: To provide those working in the field of Health Sciences with the ability to communicate effectively in spoken English by mastering appropriate communication strategies, pronunciation and terminology.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development This course aims to contribute to graduate students' competence to function in spoken English at a level compatible with today's requirements for health professionals in national and international contexts.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 to equip health professionals with the necessary spoken English skills to communicate effectively and professionally. ;
2 Demonstration of improved oral communication skills, including clarity, tone, and vocabulary, to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.;
3 To gain confidence and skills to deliver professional presentations in educational and professional settings, with coherence, and relevance.;
4 To acquire and utilize specialized medical vocabulary and terminology accurately in conversations and discussions related to healthcare scenarios.;
5 To develop the ability to engage in clear and effective communication of information, instructions, and treatment plans.;
6 To enhance active listening abilities in English to better understand and accurately interpret information, and respond appropriately in healthcare settings.;
7 To foster effective teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration by improving spoken English communication skills within healthcare environments. ;
8 To improve fluency, pronunciation, and intonation to minimize language barriers and enhance clarity in spoken English.;
