19 Objective of the Course: To discuss the situation of femininity and masculinity in different historical, geographical, social and cultural structures by making comparative analyzes of artworks as a medium where gender roles are constructed, reinforced and reflected.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To have knowledge on the change in the social position of women in the historical process and its reflections in the field of art.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Understanding the effect of social and cultural conditions on the meaning of an artwork;
2 To understand the potential of art to be influenced by social dynamics and to transform these dynamics;
3 To understand the reflections of stereotypes regarding gender roles in art;
4 To be able to analyze the reflections of stereotypes regarding gender roles in artworks in a historical and social context;
5 To comprehend the role of artworks in legitimizing and spreading stereotypes in social consciousness and carrying them into the future;
6 Questioning today's gender stereotypes based on works of art;
