19 Objective of the Course: This course aims to show how theological issues were dealt with by some intellectuals attached to Modern Islamic Movement and what kind of innovations entered into religious thought from the beginning of the modernization activities to the present day of this course student

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students, by learning Contemporary Islamic Movements will be able to have the opportunity to o know better the world they live in.;
2 to be able to compare Contemporary Religious Movements with one's own belief and to understand and appreciate another person's feelings, experience;
3 to be familiar with the theological issues in modern texts and to benefit from this in academic research.;
4 to recognize the literature (including foreign language literature) in the field of modern Islamic theology and religious studies;
5 to be able to have information about the search for reform and innovation in religion.;
6 to be able to comprehend the difference between traditional approaches and innovative approaches in Islam.;

5 The Salafi movement or Salafism as a reformist (ıslah)movement in modern times
