19 Objective of the Course: The purpose of the course is presenting the basic theoretical information and practices about psychological measuring and evaluation. During th course, students are aimed to acquire the basic principles underlying psychological methods in general, and learn about the nature of many different methods that are used in various sub-disciplines of psychology
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development With this course, the students learn basic assesment and measurement tencniques in psychology.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To grasp how and why psychological methods and tools have been developed during the history of psychology, and how the current situation in psychological measuring has emerged.;
2 To be able to evaluate and compare the basic theoretical approaches in psychology in terms of their ways of looking at psychological measuring issues. ;
3 To be able to evaluate the role of psychological evaluation techniques and tools in scientific exploration of behaviors and cognition ;
4 To be able to collect data by using psychological measuring tools, to analyze data by using the appropriate statistical techniques, to interpret the findings and to present them. ;
5 To be able to know the basic principles of psychological evaluation; to recognize their contributions and limitations to psychology as a science and as a practice; to acquire the basic level information about the most frequently use psychological tools in the field.;
6 To know and practice the ethical rules about psychological measuring and evaluation;
