19 Objective of the Course: To introduce the sources for Ottoman History and to teach how to use these sources.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Students learn about an important part of Ottoman historical sources.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to identify the institutions containing the archival sources of Ottoman history.;
2 To be able to be aware of the document types in archives;
3 To be able to use archival documents and manuscripts as historical sources;
4 To be able to express thesecond hand sources of Ottoman history.;
5 To be able to possess the ethical sensitivity required for scientific research.;
6 To be able to obtain the approaches required for historical researches. ;
7 To be able to acquire the knowledge needed for the field of specialty.;
8 The student is able to increase his/her knowledge with advanced level readings. ;
