19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills related to contemporary approaches applied in early childhood education. In this course, it is aimed to analyze the different approaches applied in the field of pre-school education by knowing the contemporary approaches in pre-school education, and to question the applicability of contemporary approaches and current practices in early childhood education in our country. It is aimed to acquire knowledge and skills regarding the philosophical basis of different approaches and models; arrangement of educational environments and equipment used in education; teacher training programs specific to each approach (pre-service and in-service programs); family involvement; applications for children with special needs; educational programs; methods used in educational programs and program content; educational practices; the prevalence of educational programs and their comparison with practices in our country.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Students will have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of contemporary practices (eg models, programs and philosophies) in the field of preschool education.
