19 Objective of the Course: To give information about the place of the textbook in teaching as one of the most important materials of a course; to introduce the external conditions (laws, regulations, school types, market conditions, etc.) and internal conditions (methods to be used, features of the subject area, physical construction conditions, etc.) that make up the textbook and to make applications in this regard; recognizing the richness and forms of exercises that require language, thematic integrity, testing and consolidation, which are important in a textbook; To show the importance of text selection and diversity in Turkish lessons; the function of elements such as page layout and the use of graphic elements and demonstrating them practically on old-new textbooks; To provide teacher candidates with the ability to examine a textbook related to his field from different angles and to write an evaluation report.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To gain the ability to effectively use textbooks and other written materials that they will use in teaching life, in line with the principles and purposes of teaching.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To have information about the place of the textbook in education.;
2 Learning the place and importance of textbooks in teaching Turkish.;
3 Laws and regulations in the preparation of the textbook; learning the principles of organizing the content of the book.;
4 To comprehend which criteria are determined by learning-teaching situations in textbooks.;
5 Recognizing the physical elements of the textbook; Knowing the importance of the physical elements in the textbook and the effect of these elements on the use of the book.;
6 To be able to examine the textbook according to design elements and design principles.;
7 To be able to evaluate the textbook to be used within the framework of appropriate scales.;
8 To be able to evaluate the textbook in terms of its suitability to the curriculum.;
