19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to provide individuals who will specialize in the field of art and art education, to prepare artistic products and phenomena for presentation within the limits of certain principles and coherence, and to gain the ability to evaluate various spatial contexts. In the teaching process of this course, there is a planning for the acquisition of the aesthetic context of the works as a comprehensive skill without losing their visibility in the exhibition areas, taking into account the philosophical qualities of the works.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development In this process, aesthetic judgments will be made through questioning in the context of object-space relationship. Starting from the idea of exhibiting in the context of Cabinets of Rareness, a diachronic teaching was designed in which they will have information about the formations organized for various purposes, ranging from the hall exhibitions of Classicism to the Halls of the Rejected. In this process, it is aimed that the students first examine the relevant basic sources, comprehend the physical and social contexts of the exhibitions cognitively and emotionally, and make sense of the events that affect the Biennials and Fairs in today's art, such as Dokümenta and Manifesta, by associating them with the changing nature of art.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To have detailed knowledge of the basic principles, concepts, laws and theories envisaged by exhibition planning theories and practices.;
2 To have the art historical background required by exhibition planning theory and practice;
3 Distinguish between types of exhibitions and their philosophical differences;
4 To be able to understand and explain the philosophical grounds of curatorial studies.;
5 To know the curatorial events organized in national and international context, to sort them historically;
6 Explaining the importance of Documenta and Manifesta activities for today's art;
7 To be able to explain the activities of Documenta and Manifesta on the basis of works with a diachronic change.;
8 To be able to explain the curatorial planning of the Venice Biennale and the Istanbul Biennial.;
9 Planning a curatorial design and progress;
10 Knowing and using the existing literature on exhibition planning and curation, and preparing an article.;
