19 Objective of the Course: It is aimed to analyze the theories and models used in psychiatry and psychiatric nursing, to examine the researches, to examine critically and to learn their contribution to nursing knowledge.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To know the historical, philosophical, ontological and epistemological foundations of psychiatric and psychiatric nursing theoretical knowledge;
2 Explaining the definitions and terms in psychiatric and psychiatric nursing theories;
3 To be able to count the theories and models used in psychiatry and psychiatric nursing;
4 To explain other theories contributing to the development process of psychiatric nursing theories;
5 Understanding the importance of using theory and model in the process of professionalization and scientificization in psychiatric nursing;
6 Discussing the importance of theories and models in research on psychiatric nursing;
