19 | Objective of the Course: | The main aim of the course is to focus on debates between modern versus postmodern theories. So, the course includes discussions on the founding claims of modern philosophy about reason, culture, knowledge, language, subject etc and the criticisms of post-modern thought against the founding claims and ideals of modernity. It also aims to develop an awareness of the conceptual distinctions between modernism and post-modernism. |
