Objective of the Course: |
The Basic Design I course is to give the student the right to observe the environment, discern and judge written learning, visual expression. Elements of art of all disciplines; point, line, shape, form, texture; and principles of art; It is aimed to provide students with common elements of visual arts such as balance, rhythm, movement, contrast, integrity, emphasis, and motifs, with products to be designed, thus helping students to prepare for their higher semester courses. |

This course gives prospective teachers the opportunity to experience the basic principles, concepts and methods of arts education. In addition, they can profit from their observations, impressions and expressions through art. |

Students are asked to make a mandala from natural materials that they will collect from nature. The patterns created due to the variety of materials are expected to be in accordance with the design elements and principles in terms of aesthetics. |

Students are expected to design a three-dimensional book for a story they will create uniquely. Three-dimensional book design examples are shared online in an accessible environment. |
