Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
This course helps prospective teachers to learn the meaning of Turkish learning and teaching, the purpose and basic principles of Turkish teaching, the history of Turkish teaching, the reflection of learning and teaching approaches to Turkish teaching, basic skills in teaching Turkish, current trends and problems in teaching Turkish, and the components of an effective Turkish teaching. In addition, this course helps students to develop their social, cultural and economic perspectives on teaching Turkish and to recognize in-class practice examples.
